Tell us about some of the cultural experiences you had growing up. (Dance,

Singing, Drums, Theatre etc.)

When I was young I didn't really care for music too much. I had to be choir in elementary school but other than that it wasn't super impactful in my life. I’d say it was around late middle school to early high school that I cared more about music. I

performed in my first musical as a dwarf in Snow White, and Ive at least tried out every year since then. I only started playing drums in high school because my friends played percussion in a band and then eventually they needed somebody to play drums with them, so I learned on the fly.

Do you come from an “artys” family?

No, not at all. My mom did some music in school but other than that no, my dad has never done any of the arts, but is a huge music lover and goes to many concerts.

What is your earliest memory performing?

My earliest memory of performing is probably in elementary school when we got all of the recorders and we played them for a song. I didn't care for it back then but looking back on it and seeing my little siblings doing it, it looked fun.

What do you most enjoy about performing?

I enjoy performing because I like sharing what I love and enjoy doing. I think that it is much easier for me to be expressive in a song I'm performing if I really do enjoy it, and if I don’t, then it kind of just gets pushed off.

Tell us about your band and your role in the band. What do you most enjoy

about being a part of Love Bomb?

I kind of just showed up. My two friends Trice and Sam wanted to play guitar at a few jam nights in Barnum at a random bar, and originally I was going to play bass and we were going to find a drummer, but then I started playing drums and realized I loved it. I’m able to just be myself and have fun and be funny with my friends, and it's so

enjoyable for everyone.

What activities/groups/ensembles are you currently involved with?

I am currently in all three choirs at Iowa Central, Love Bomb is the band that I am in, and currently I am in fall play and plan to do the musical at Iowa Central.

What do you want to do after Iowa Central Community College?

I would love to stay as a performer, hopefully making Love Bomb a full time job, but if not then any kind of music performing would be my dream life.

Who are some of your role models? Why?

Some of my role models are my teachers at Iowa Central. Jacob Pedersen, Paul Bloomquist, and Sean Mulvihill are my main three. They all have different ways of thinking and critiquing and it gives me many different viewpoints on how I can get better. Other than that Travis Barker is definitely a role model and inspiration.

What is your proudest accomplishment? My proudest accomplishment as of right now is releasing music with Love Bomb. We released a 3 song EP a year or two ago and it is just very surreal to say that I have not only helped write, and create music, but also to say I’v released it and at least a few people have listened to it.
